Mark and Debra Manley founded Debmar Incorporated in 1982 in Findlay, Ohio, which currently does business in Bowling Green, Ohio as Heritage Corner Health Care Campus. They are the fourth generation of the Manley family to provide housing for senior citizens and are proud that their three children, the fifth generation are also involved in the family business.
From 1976 until 1980 Mark and Debra worked in Mark's parents facility called The Heritage in Findlay, Ohio. Of course, Mark grew up within the family facility when he was a child doing chores such as washing dishes, mowing the grass, planting flowers and providing simple non-skilled help to the family business. Mark and Debra's children have followed in the same footprints as their father growing up within the senior facility and attending to the chores that were appropriate.
From 1980 to 1991 Mark and Debra started their own senior business in Findlay, Ohio. It was called The Heritage Inn and provided congregate housing for seniors. Back then, the term assisted living had not yet been developed, so facilities used the terms congregate, retirement and group homes. In the mid 1980's Mark and Debra Manley worked diligently with the task force for the Governor of the State of Ohio to establish guidelines for the now known, Assisted Living Industry. Debra testified before the House of Representatives and the Senate to familiarize them with the operations of an assisted living facility.
By the 1990's the Manley's realized that the Assisted Living Industry would be growing fast and in order to compete they must find land and build a new facility. That led them "back home" to Bowling Green. Mark's parents had started out in a small nursing home in Weston, Ohio and Mark's Great Uncle Frank Manley had owned the Manley Nursing Home in Bowling Green in the '60's and '70's, so returning to Bowling Green felt just right for Mark and Debra. They purchased a ten acre parcel of land to fullfill their dreams of helping so many and improving the lives of the seniors in the community.
In 1992 Mark and Debra had completed the construction of The Heritage Inn Assisted Living facility located at 1069 Klotz Road in Bowling Green, Ohio. The Heritage began with 16 units of assisted living providing meals, housekeeping and laundry services and the security of knowing that someone was available twenty-four hours a day.
By 1995, The Heritage saw the need for more assisted living units so the Manleys constructed another wing and more dining room space. During the next few years, the clients at The Heritage were requesting more assistance and wanted a nurse to visit to keep track of their daily medical needs. The Manleys created these services and developed an on-going medical program as part of the housing options to be made available at The Heritage.
In 1999 the facility expaned again, adding The Heritage Nursing Suites. This new wing was geared toward providing on site twenty-four hour a day medical care. Professionally staffed, spacious private nursing suites offered just one more tier to the Manley's dream of enhancing the lives of so many seniors in and around the Bowling Green community.
In 2002 the Manley's vision gleamed with the opening of a new multi-million dollar expansion for independent living called The Pillars, along with a new exercise room and warm water pool named Corner Stone Fitness and Rehabilitation Center. The Corner Stone Fitness Center offers daily exercise classes for the clients at The Heritage, and aquatic classes are also offered in the warm water pool. Physician prescribed physical therapy, occupational and speech therapies are also available through the center.
With the facility being located at the corner of Klotz Road and East Gypsy Lane in Bowling Green, the property was named The Heritage Corner Health Care Campus. Within The Heritage Corner Campus we now provide The Pillars Independent Living Apartments, The Heritage Inn Assisted Living and The Heritage Nursing Suites providing for all our clients' needs.
The Heritage also offers many additional services such as a full service Salon and Spa, which provides traditional hair care as well as facials, manicures and pedicures, massage treatments, day packages and much more.
Mathew Manley C.C., Mark and Debra's son, is the Executive Chef of the culinary department. Chef Mathew has added choices for all our clients meal selections. He has hired several additional Chefs and professionals to work at The Heritage Corner, and has opened a restaurant on Friday nights called Club Dining.
Misty Dimick, the Manley's older daughter, is also a part of The Heritage Campus. Misty is the Assistant Administrator and is in charge of human resources and client records. Misty coordinates training classes for the staff and assists with the coordination of care services for the clients at The Heritage, as well as many other duties.

In her spare time Monica assists at The Heritage with record keeping, office duties, activities and the volunteer program.
