About Us History

Mark and Debra Manley founded Debmar Incorporated in 1982 in Findlay Ohio. The corporation was relocated to Bowling Green in 1992 when the Manleys built the new Heritage Inn assisted living center located at the corner of Klotz Road and East Gypsy Lane.

Originally opening in Bowling Green were two wings, Scott and Goodrich, that housed assisted living services only. In 1995 Heritage Corner expanded its assisted living to include Bright wing and in 1999 again expanded, with Cowell wing adding Heritage Nursing Suites and adding twenty-four hour a day nursing to our program. In keeping with our mission statement, in 2002 independent living was added to our programs with The Pillars at Heritage Corner, these two wings were named Webb and Barchent.

Included in that 2002 expansion was the mission for healthier living options. The connection of Goodrich and Bright wings formed Corner Stone Fitness Center, featuring a warm water pool. Here our clients and their families can focus on yet another aspect of safe and healthy living.

In 2006 construction started for a state of the art child care center on the campus. The new facility, called Discovery Kingdom, was completed and opened on January 17, 2007.

2008 brought many exciting things to the Heritage Corner Campus; we examined how we do things internally, looking "within our four walls", for ways to bring greater client and family satisfaction as to maintain a more refreshed and fulfilled workforce.

2009 saw ground breaking for a new $5 Mil expansion to include a new memory care unit, more private pay skilled nursing suites and an inpatient hospice care center. This section of the building is due to be complete in the Fall of 2010.

Mark and Debra Manley and the Manley family are proud of the housing and care options that Heritage has available to offer our community. Heritage Corner is a great place to live and a great place to work.
