The volunteer program at Heritage Corner wishes to attract volunteers who possess that special love of the elderly that can transform a volunteer experience into a valuable life lesson. We have a wide range of activities that enhance the quality of life for our clients. Because our clients have different levels of functioning, volunteers are valuable contributors because just a couple of hours can have an amazing effect on the lives of others. A few of the activities that volunteers can participate in at Heritage Corner include cards, games, outings, bingo, social events, one-on-one visits, or even the sharing of the volunteer’s talent.
In addition to volunteering at Heritage Corner, there are opportunities for internships and service groups to put together a one-time event or a series of events.
Even if it is a one-time visit, the hours spent can have a positive impact on the lives of our clients. Knowledge, experience and laughter are just a few of the things that you will share with our clients during your volunteer hours.
